I now think you were all probably 'shaking' your heads like 'here we go with the musical chairs, of In-Home-Care-Givers') when I told you that I FINALLY got Mom & Tom, four hours of care, per day. Now, we have been through Hazel (who had a family emergency, over the holidays, and never returned?) Unis, and now Teresa. I have never met any of them, and in just a few short weeks, or months. Today, I asked Mom what car they were using, their Care-Givers (who they call their DRIVERS, kinda funny, like that is all they need?) and it turns out they are using Tom's car, which of course, is a "TOYOTA" So I played P.I. and tracked down where he bought it, and thankfully they are not as 'private' with information at a Car Dealership, as they are at Hospitals, (since I am not a blood relative?) but it is not one of the bad ones, it was made in Japan, and is older than I thought (2007) At least he is not resisting the no-drive order, and since it is FREE, for him (Mom's Long Term Health Insurance is paying for it all, so far!) he probably wont.

The lady that has Mom's POA of finance, has had it for awhile, just hadn't taken over her personal checking account, until Tom no longer could. I still don't like her, & don't trust her, but there is nothing I can do, but hope she is just not a people's person, just into math, and not related to Bernie Madoff! Martin Luther's King Day, she just went over to give Mom & Tom new checks, with her name on them. She canceled Mom's account, & Credit Card, and opened a new one, with all three names on them, and her's as POA. I just have to hope if the worse case senerio happens, and she runs off with all Mom's money, it was my Mother's Attorney who recommended her, and signed off as a witness, etc, so hope SHE would be held liable. What do I know?

Thanks for listening.

We can only do what we can do, Sky. We can't do everything. I hope everything works out for the best and that your mother gets the care she deserves.

Take the time and go to Linda's thread and let us know what you have been up to lately.

Let's hear from everyone else, also. I miss reading about what everyone is doing. Give me something to look forward to each day, remember I don't have anything to do now and it's too darn cold for me to get outside.

I miss all of you.
