Here's a picture of me & G. She's been picking and scratching for the last 4-5 months and I'm trying everything I can think of to distract her.

She is quite the darling, teeny tiny thing! So sweet.

Ahhhhhhh, Jezza, this is GREAT! Hats are so much fun! Her face is proof!

Mom and I had so much fun with a bunch of necklaces, braclets, gloves, whatever, the more she could fiddle with the merrier, put on, take off, put back on. Anything to keep from picking. Does Laurette have any old aprons? We had fun with those too. Mom had several. We'd swap them, fold them, tie each others, I'd sneak something in the pockets for her to find, she'd lay them out and count them. She was pretty creative with those things! I wish I had a picture...Mom with her big belly, they always rode up....she looked like Fred Mertz!

I got some of those rubber finger tip thingies from the office supply. They worked quite often for her, especially while watching TV or doing-nothing times. Of course, they weren't the greatest fit but even that kept her adjusting them--instead of picking. She never tried to eat them or anything, although I did have to watch the cats if she dropped one.

Good luck!

Jez,
I used to have Mom fold sheets of paper towels in four. She'd really get into it. I told her I needed to keep them for people to wipe their hands on in the bathrooms and I didn't have time to do it. She loved doing that. Other than that, Mom didn't like to do much else.

Laurette looks great and so darn cute in that hat and you don't look so bad yourself! You are a wonderful grandson my friend.

Today to keep her busy I took her out for a walk in the middle of the heaviest and most windy rain storm I have seen here in Los Angeles in years. We were both soaked and she loved it! We couldn't stop laughing.

I hope you held onto her real tight, Jezza. She looks so tiny she could have blown away.
Doesn't it make you feel like a kid again to do something wild and crazy?

I'm still a kid folks, not a kid again! And I hope to always stay that way...
